Not too hard to setup and works very well.
OK. Yes, a little harder to program but overall most folks should be able to do it. Add your devices first. In our case we use a Roku box, Samsung TV and a Sonos soundbar. I just programed a few extra buttons on the Roku button assignments and done. Did a simple macro to power off the TV (Roku and Sonos turn off automatically) using the main power button on the top.Replacing a Harmony that is finally giving up the ghost. I do wish SofaBaton would bring the guided setup like their more exspensive remotes to this version. Not certain why that would be so hard. I do feel like overall a good value and works as intended

App does not allow remote to be set up
Setup app does not work on Android 13 or on Amazon tablet. In both cases it is impossible to get to the point where you can connect with the device, but they fail in different ways.On Android 13 the app returns you to the Android desktop after you log in successfully. The app is still running, but when you switch to it you're just dumped to the desktop again. There are no errors or warnings. I've tried every possible comb of rebooting the phone, setting up the necessary locations service either before or after running the app for the first time, and every other thing I can think of.On the Amazon Fire tablet you get to the screen where you choose which remote type you're setting up, you get a popup telling you that location services need to be turned on for the app, and when you click Confirm you're taken to the Settings app regardless of whether or not you already turned the service on. When you return to the app you get the same warning again. You're stuck in an infinite loop.with no way to move forward.in my opinion software testing is not high on the priority list for this company, and therefore it's best to avoid their products.Such a shame, as the old U1 remote was so easy to set up.

Good Product easily programmed
easy to program using the app. Only issue I am having is on the Dish/Summit receiver I can only use the direction button once in sequence. If I press the same button it will only react to the first command and ignore others until another button is pressed.

Great remote
This remote replaced a Harmony remote I had for years. This remote worked great for my Samsung TV, Yamaha sound bar and even works for Roku which the Harmony remote wouldn’t do.

Hit & Miss Remote
I really wanted to like this remote to replace all of my remotes. I have an old programmable remote that I think may have been a predecessor to these Sofabaton's, but they miss the mark with this unit. For whatever reason the most basic function of running my cable box from about 15-18 ft was a struggle. While most of the common functions actually worked after setup in app (and by most let's say 70%), I had to press the buttons multiple times and work the angle of the remote, adjust how I sat, etc to get the button to work. I don't think this was a button problem, I think it was a distance/strength problem, and again I'm only about 15 ft away and the cable box is on top. I tried to program the master on button, but that didn't seem to work for the same reasons mentioned above, I think the program would have worked fine, just struggled to get message to all devices. Maybe that's why they have the new one with the base station to receive the signals, IDK, but just missed the mark.

Very nice for streaming
New Update: 1/20/2025They are now sending me my THIRD remote. Their remotes no longer work with Roku. Today all my devices did not respond to their remote. Do not waste your money on this.UPDATE: They sent me a new remote with a personal tech person. I was able to get it to work as I wanted with his help. He gave me codes to fix the buttons being too sensitive. I got codes so now my Logitech works with my Home Theater so I did not try to set up macros. My advice is that if you need a remote that performs on multiple devices, this unit will fill your needs. They have excellent tech support that will fix your issue.I had read all positive reviews. Then a few days ago and I saw a tech article giving this item bad reviews. I had already ordered the remote. I dismissed the Tech review, some of them are too critical. A few years ago, I saw a critical review of a Garmin GPS because it was too thin. I guess they had to write something negative.I was hoping from what I read here that this remote would replace my Logitech which did not work with my new dumb as a rock smart TV. I soooo miss my Logitech. Logitech, PLEASE get back in the remote business. This remote did not have codes for Onkyo receivers, one of the best selling brands in the USA. The buttons are way toooooooooo sensitive. Everytime I pushed a number button, it repeated it.I have a home theater which is why I need the remote. I needed it to switch HDMI connections and inputs. This remote does not do that. There aren't any instructions on how to set up a "routine". My Logitech remote, I tapped "Watch TV" or Watch DVD' and it would turn on all the devices and switch to the appropriate inputs and ports. This does not do that. It has a clunky wheel you scroll for each function. If you have cable or satellite as your provider, there isn't a dedicated "Guide" or "DVR" button. This functions the same as any $10.00 remote. If you just have streaming services, this is just a fancy remote. This remote is absolutely worthless if you have a home theater.

Replacing Logitech Harmoney with SofaBaton
I was not expecting much from this inexpensive remote. After adding my devices and a short one day learning curb. I found the remote to be a great device and replacement. I always used Logitech Harmony remotes. Although they offer more bells and whistles there price point is very high. The SofaBaton was very simple and easy to use. Button layout is very accessible in your hand. I like the weight of it. Feels very sturdy and looks well made. My wife would never use the Harmony Logitech remote. She always found it confusing. She actually uses the SofaBaton only now. I was able to put all my other remotes away.Great Remotes..Thanks
