Does the wood pole screw down into the sand?

Thank you for your question. This beach cabana does not come with a sand anchor so you don't have to screw in sand. The bottom of the pole is sharp and the cabana comes with four sandbags for great stability! Here are the installation steps when using on the beach: A) Use the sand shovel to dig a hole in the sand and insert the lower pole to the hole.Cover it tightly with sand. B) Turn the cabana upside down and push the runner down until the top spring locks. C) Connect the cabana with the lower pole and push the metal marble to lock. D) Fill the four sand bags with sand.The more sand the better. E) Digging holes for the sand bags and making sure all of the bags are resting in the holes to increase the stability.
