Quality part
heavy stamped metal. Chrome looks good. As others have mentioned the bolts that hold the plate in will fall through the holes in the plate so you will need a washer. My NY plate required some minor widening of the plate holes ( on the plate which is light aluminum with a drill bit to get things to line up / slight modification and you could use a small file if you have more patience. ). On the washers I ended up getting the recessed type from Home Depot in nickel and it fit perfectly. / they should throw in a few of those with this kit.

Awesome plate holder!
Holes for the license plate screws are a little too far apart which requires the plate to pull to one side. Still barely noticeable. The screws for fastening the plate are a little small as well which helps keep a low profile but I was worried they might pull through the holes on the license plate. No issues so far after a few 200+ mile rides. Looks much better than the stock upright plate and was very easy to install! Installed on 2021 Harley Low Rider S.

Wish it came with the plate cover cuz you will want both. Easy install and really changes the look. Worth the buy

Awesome product! Completes the look
Fit perfectly on my 2020 FXLRS. Made of heavy duty steel, has some weight to it. Only gripe is it did not include small washers for the plate screws but luckily I had a handful of small washers lying around.

This is the one you want
If you have a late model H-D with the straight-up license plate on the rear fender, this is what you want for a lay-down plate. I have a 19 FLHC, removed the existing plate bracket, placed the rubber grommet under the new bracket, inserted each of the three bolts and secured with a hex wrench and socket. I had to slightly enlarge the four holes so the license plate bolts with red reflectors would fit. Project takes 30 minutes tops. Why pay over $30 when you can get this one.

its not 80 bucks
So I wanted a simple lay down plate. The plate that came up the most was from a reasonably prominent company and was almost 80 bucks. I am glad I found this one, and that's why I am writing a review for it because I want to raise its ratings, so more people see it. It is slim, sleek, and unremarkable, which is precisely what I wanted. I want people to notes my bike, not the government permission slip I have bolted to the back.
