So the machine is quite heavy so not ideal if you have any mobility problems and need to move it around frequently. I don't find the noise an issue as it is constant but yes, it is quite noisy but in a sooothing sort of of way, no high pitches or anything like that. It collects a LOT of water and reads the moisture levels. I'm obsessed with going room to room! I've noticed less mildew on the hallway ceiling since I started using it for about an hour/two hours in the day. Very good in a cupboard too that was musty. It's a good, strong, high quality machine and very easy to empty. Just turn it on, set the level to eg 65 and then just let it do its job. No regrets from me and now excuse me, I'm off to check my humidity levels....

We have had the Inventor dehumidifier for only a short while but it has been superb. It works so well and removes the condensation off the windows perfectly. The water fills up amazingly and quickly. Just keep a track of this and empty accordingly, but there is an automatic cut off so no worries about it overflowing. My wife loves this because it dries her washing and towels quickly…all at a small energy cost. Fairly heavy, but on casters so no problem, with handle and solid build. We bought it originally for the silent option, but sadly it isn’t really. Earplugs does solve that problem if need be. That aside, still 10 out of 10…we bought another so as you can see we are very happy with the purchase.

I purchased this for a friend who has damp issues in their (very old) recently purchased property. A number of their walls have very bad issues with damp/condensation and they are absolutely delighted with how effective this Dehumidifier has been. Please be aware that my friend is aware (as should potential purchasers of this unit) that this is only a short term/temporary solution and a damp specialist has been consulted regarding the chronic/long term damp issues of the property).I chose this Model as it is the ideal size for the property (a fairly small 2 bedroom terraced house) and also for its its list of specifications. Power consumption is respectably low compared to most competitors units for the size (it may require operating for extended periods for severe damp issues) and it is claimed to remove up to approximately 12 litres of water per day (this is quoted as a maximum).There are numerous safety/auto shutdown features built into the unit (if the water container requires emptying for instance) which is important if the unit is left operating for long periods unattended.The unit is fairly easy to move around (for its weight and size) with a sturdy built in carrying handle as it is best operated as close as possible to the location where it it is most needed. Carrying the unit up a staircase should not be a major issue for anyone reasonably physically fit.The unit can be connected to an external drainage source where this is available and can also be used to dry out damp clothing/washing if required. It also filters the air as it operates so should help improve the air quality and slightly reduce the effects of anyone who suffers from Asthma or Hay fever. The one complaint with this unit (as other reviewers have pointed out) is that this is DEFINITELY NOT "silent". It can be heard from at least 20 feet away even in "silent" mode. My friend is unable to sleep with the unit operating but of course some individuals may not be as sensitive or may become accustomed to the steady hum (even when in "silent" mode). It is not "noisy" and may be quieter than some competitors units but it is DEFINITELY NOT "silent". I feel the Manufacturer should alter their wording regarding this as it is "fairly quiet" but NOT "silent" and may be false advertising. It is not a "deal breaker" for my friend however and the unit is left turned off at night.This Dehumidifier has been a godsend and my friend is absolutely delighted with it. The affected areas of damp have been dried out (albeit temporarily) with regular use (the underlying damp issues remain and will require professional attention in the near future) and it has prevented water/damp potentially ruining a recently purchased bed and sofa. The overall comfort factor of the property has been substantially improved with the humidity levels now significantly reduced (the humidity level is shown on the unit as a percentage and independent measuring devices have confirmed the readings are accurate).A very good product.

Very good dehumidifier, easy to use with timer and humidity settings. I used this when hanging out washing in the spare room. I set the timer to 5 hours and then the tank is usually ready to empty. Works very well, but the tank is smaller than others I've used before. Has a built in ballcock to automatically switch off when the water level of the tank gets too high.

Works really well. Holds a good amount of water. Easy to use and easy to clean. Doesn't take up much space and is quite lightweight without being flimsy. Have noticed a difference since using it. Would recommend.

We bought this to try and stop the mould that kept appearing around our window frames and in two corners of the ceiling in our bedroom and en-suite. We kept cleaning it away but, it kept coming back within a few days.Started using this and from day one, no more mould. We were amazed how much water it collects every day.It is easy to move around as it has a big handle on the top, but it is rather heavy (especially when full of water).I would suggest emptying the water before it gets full, otherwise it does fill up to the top of the reservoir and it can be tricky not to spill the water when walking to the sink to empty it.You can not say it is quiet, even on the so called “silent” mode, which by the way is not silent.It does make a low noise and there really isn’t much difference between the normal and silent mode. But, saying that, we used it 24/7 when we first got it and we slept through the noise without a problem, even though I am a light sleeper. I don’t think everyone would be able to sleep with it on, and I noticed in the reviews before I bought it, that people mentioned the noise. Of course you could just turn it off when you want to sleep.To sum up, I am absolutely delighted with this machine, it does exactly what it said it would and we are moisture and mould free.

I bought this dehumidifier after staying at my daughters and seeing hers in action. It’s so efficient at drying washing and basically sucking all the moisture out of the air in my flat. Should have bought one years ago. Easy to move about to different areas and to empty. Worth every penny!
