A very good Allen wrench tool but not perfect!
The media could not be loaded. This is a handy tool to have in any tool box or in any range kit. It is a set of SAE sized hex keys that fold out of each end of the body and you can lock them into place at 90 degrees, 135 degrees or 180 degrees. The body of the tool is large and it provides a large area the you can grip to loosen or tighten hex head screws into place. The large size makes the tool easy to grip and use but in some applications it may be too large. There are two unlock buttons on the tool to allow you to unlock the hex head wrenches that can be used on the ends of the body. There are 8 different sizes of hex keys in the tool. The tool does come with a lifetime warranty as long as you keep the proof of purchase. For me that is not very long time so I hope it holds up. The tool is very good but it is not perfect. The hex tools are rather short and if you have to reach into a deep hard to reach area to get to a hex head screw or bolt it may not reach. In addition the body of the tool is large and it may be too large to fit into some areas. Despite those cons I still gave it 5 stars for the quality of the materials it is made of and the functionality.

Great allen keys
These things are great. It’s great that the keys lock at 4 different positions. Makes it easier when you are putting pressure on the Allen wrenches, so they don’t move all over the place. They are locked in place when you are using them. Great idea from D Walt. I would highly highly recommend this product. It gets five stars.

Could be just a bit stronger
Amazing for general use, but if you're really cranking on something you'll break the locking mechanism. The locking is really nice to have, but if you're using this for work on a regular basis, probably just get one without the lock.

Handy tool
Every year I look for a great new product that I give to the males in my immediate and extended family as a Christmas gift. For 2011, the DeWalt folding Locking Hex Key Set was 'it.' First I purchased it and tried it out to see if it was a good as it looked and the review I read in Popular Mechanics. It passed my test and I gave about 6 of these to my relatives. There are only two considerations to be aware of: 1) This particular unit has SAE or 'inch' sizes only; if you are going to be working with metric fasteners, you'll need the metric version. For my gifting purposes, I gave everyone BOTH units. 2) There are some tight applications where the fat handle gets in the way of turning the wrench (in other words, the regular "L" shaped hex wrenches work better in tight spaces). But the convenience factor and the 'lessened risk of loss' with this tool outweighed this #2 issue for me.

Good buy 'assembly required' hex key shaped like an L
After putting together my child's crib and enduring the drama of using their stupid little hex key… i decided to buy this. This product has been a life saver for me. Its worked on low pressure items such as putting a desk together and then in instances when I really tested it to free the hex bolts (not sure thats what they are called) on a preassembled treadmill which was awful tight. (so I could move it).I like that this product has the lock function for each side and that there are two lock locations. The two options allows for the tool to be used like a screwdriver or a socket wrench.I'd definitely recommend this product to anyone looking to complete their tool chest. One more thing….it's design keeps you from having to carry individual keys around and avoids you losing them.Good work Dewalt.. this is why I remain a loyal customer.

Game changing innovation
I've had a few of these keys from other makers and my biggest issue is they wear out over time and the keys just flop around and get in the way. Dewalt has incorporated a locking system to avoid this and I'm a big fan! At first it was irritating having to transition to the lock/unlock feature but not having to fight keys flopping around while I try to work is well worth it! Outstanding design and functionality.

Good hex set
I have the sae and metric versions of these keys; they're good for the job and will probably last a long time.
