Best bang for the buck
Bought this after my Nexus 6 turned crazy slow.Pros:1. Good config for low cost2. Bright screen3. The phone dimension is multitasking friendly4. Fingerprint reader works fine5. Android One6. Battery charges really fastCons:1. Google Assistant (OK Google) doesn't work when phone is in sleep mode2. The back body is super slippery (but the phone comes with a cover that solves this issue to an extent)3. I personally don't like the position of Volume and Power buttons (Volume is placed above Power)4. No Android Pie update as of December 2, 2018 (edit: i got the update late December)5. Speakers are loud, but sound quality isn't greatI know it looks like it has a lot of cons, but still I'd recommend this phone. Maybe I'm just happy to switch from my old Nexus which was killing me slowly!

Great phone with WiFi issue
This is a good phone with all the high tech specs. I personally like this phone very much as it's fast and updated with Android pie. It's best suited for my needs. But I came to know about the WiFi issue when I attempted the Whatsapp calling (voice and video both). WiFi reception is good when I was near by the WiFi router in my living room. But when I walk around from living room to bedroom, entire WiFi signal drops and the WhatsApp call keep on saying "Reconnecting" but never connects. My old phone Moto E4 was far better in this case. It never disconnects the WiFi.So, I contacted customer support in Amazon and they were very good and replaced phone with the new phone with next day delivery. But, to my surprise, the new phone was also had the same issue . So, I returned the phone and got my money refunded. Now, I have ordered and using Mi A2 Lite Android one which has far more better WiFi reception than this phone. So, My suggestion is to opt for Mi A2 Lite Android one with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage (Dual SIM with a separate slot for Micro SD for expandable memory) if you are OK with it. This Lite model has also got Android Pie . This Lite model has much better battery of 4000mAh compare to 3000mAh battery of Mi A2.Hope my Review helps ...

i like it
The seller was Mobiles International LLC and Fulfilled by Amazon. I paid 240 bucks.I had to stop using my Android 5 phone, because it only had 8GB of ROM, and Android used half of it. Even though I moved everything I could to my SD card, I ran out of memory. This Xiaomi doesn't have an SD card, but it has lots of ROM...enough for future Android updates, and more than enough for music, files, and my apps. The screen is great. I thought my other phone was good, but when I compared the two side-by-side, the difference is very noticable. The phone is fast. Fast opening and using apps. Fast downloads.I use H2O Wireless as my cellular provider. They are a MVNO that uses AT&T. I had to contact H2O to setup my data connection/configuration. Other than that, changing from my old phone to new phone was as easy as swapping the SIM card. The price-per-ROM cost is good. I'm happy with my purchase and would buy it again.UPDATE 5/24/19Still liking my phone. For battery life, here are some tips:Use battery optimization when it makes sense (it can prevent notifications, so don't use it for critical apps).Force Stop apps that you don't use regularly (lots for me).For apps that you don't use often (like airlines, etc), force stop the app after using it.Uninstall/disable stock apps that you don't use.Enable "developer" mode and go to Background Check; disable apps that don't need to run all the time.and...If you are in an area that has spotty/limited/no cell or wi-fi (like in the woods or a remote location), then to conserve battery power, put the phone in airplane mode when not in use; it will save a LOT of battery power. Even with battery saver 'on' and both wi-fi and data off, the battery will drain noticeably. But with airplane mode 'on', it makes all the difference in the world.

Screen flickering / color related issues
After the pie update, this phone suffers from displaying dark colors properly. Gray images in photos while scrolling will suddenly change from a dark black to a bright gray almost if the image is flashing. Watching videos this is also noticeable at times, of all the things this handset does well at this price point this is a deal breaker for me. It appears there are a few different LCD vendors, this problem is mainly caused by displays made by TIANMA. I found this same problem reported on the XDA developers forum, some have mentioned the March update corrected this but it appears the March update was taken down due to it bricking handsets (much like the January update did). Since this is an international version without a warranty in the US I don't want to get stuck with this problem after my Amazon return window closes. It's also not comforting there have been 2 updates so far this year that have bricked phones. I've tried exchanging the device once already but both had the TIANMA displays, you can determine your model by entering *#*#64663#*#*

Android One imprescindible

Excellent phone
Purchased this phone following the failure of a Cubot Power which is in theory very similar in specifications to the Xiaomi however the Cubot proved to be extremely bug ridden and unreliable. The Xiaomi, is both fast and so far has not exhibited any of the faults of the Cubot, despite the smaller battery it holds a decent charge, feels good to hold and the Android One began security updates immediately after being connected to my WIFI. Phone calls are clear and using speaker phone I did not sound like I was in a wind tunnel unlike the Cubot. The phone does not have a Micro SD socket, but it does have a dual sim facility. The phone has a USB headphone adaptor as there is no 3.5mm jack socket. The speaker is clear and the screen seems very clear and bright enough. The Antutu is 131824 considerably higher than the 93,000 of the Cubot Power. The phone features an IR blaster to control your TV etc, but no NFC. Running a Smarty Sim (Three) and all the major banking apps seem to work (Barclays/NatWest/Tesco/Amex) with the very fast fingerprint working without a hitch. I will post an update in a few weeks, but for now it seems to be a good value phone.

Aparelho Espatacular!
