Q: Is the white neutral wire shared by both the sensor and light? Otherwise how do you wire the light from the sensor with just one red wire?

Yes, the white neutral wire is shared (shared by everything on the circuit for that matter). The sensor is merely a switch. Power enters the sensor via the black wire and is switched to the red wire to the light (load). There's a wiring diagram in the product pictures for reference.

Q: May i wire this to a 20 amp residential circuit (12awg)?

Hi sir Residential circuit is no effect, no matter 15A 20A or more. But loading AMP associated to products, the sensor switch design is 8A, so if loading not more than 8Amp is no problem. Conversion to Watts is 8A * 120V = 960W, so under this watts the sensor will normal work。 Thanks
