Excellent controller with missed opportunities
Overall, excellent controller with great functionality.Pro;Looks sleek, great ergonomics except for 1 gripeSolid buildCustomizableExcellent buttonsExcellent sticksGreat dockAwesome lightingReplaceable partsAwesome screen, very uniqueOverall fantastic controller, period. If you're torn between this and a few other controllers, this one won't steer you wrongCon;The only real con, imo, is that the space where my middle fingers go, is a bit poorly shaped, and my fingers grind into the back of the controller. That's it.Everything else, is really more of a missed opportunity of the company rather than an issue with the controller itself; The dock has a space for the wireless dongle, but you still need to plug them in separately. With the 8bitdo controllers for example, the dock has a port for the dongle to plug into, so you can plug the dock into your computer and it will power the dock and act as the dongle plug in as well. Wish they updated the dock. The physical customizability is lacking a bit... You can change the face plates, but there are only two available. I have both and the clear one is awful on the black controller. The light doesn't go into the body, so it's kinda pointless, unfortunately. I wish they had more options, it would be fun!And lastly, the software on the controller is perfectly fine for customizing the buttons and feel of the controller, but with the awesome screen it has, after I set up my controller initially, I never used it again. I would love for them to set up some kind of software that would, I dunno, read the computer clock speeds, temp, or anything else, and display it on the controller.Again, these are just missed opportunities that would have made this my favorite controller of all time, rather than just an amazing one.

If you're a budget PC gamer, I think you'll be very happy.
Update: I'm re-evaluating after testing out other controllers, and may just keep the Manba One afterall. I've went and purchased 16.5/20 foot long cables to see if they are a good enough workaround for my unconventional setup, and abandoning wireless altogether. I've purchased about 5 other controllers this season and have returned them all, Manba One may be the winner yet.Ultimately, I have to return this because it did not work too well for the very unconventional setup I was going for. I used this controller with the XB 3 Brookman wireless dongle that converts controller signals to be compatible with my Xbox Series X. It worked like a charm, mostly, while playing I had no issues, no disconnects randomly, and the battery is very good. The problem is that every single time I turned off the controller, put it on my charger, or just took a break from gaming and let it disconnect... i constantly had to replug my conversion adapter. WITH A WIRE, this is not an issue but I am aiming for a purely wireless setup! I have tested my Brookman adapter thoroughly, and this wireless issue was not present on other converted signals, even the PS5 dualsense was seamless transitioning to the Xbox Series X. Turn off controller, turn on, automatic reconnect with no hassle. The Manba One is constanst hassle every time I wanted to reconnect the controller when I come back to play on this albeit very unconventional setup. Now, of course, I'm still giving this 5 stars because it's an excellent controller if you plan to use it for what it's made for, unlike my experimental self! What I wish this controller did have: easier method of switching control profiles. Having to go through the on-screen menu to switch between my 5 different presets was not very intuitive. A simple switch underneath to scroll through them would be good enough? The macro settings worked nicely but were a bit cumbersome to setup. An app on a phone could easily make this a more seamless experience to switch profiles and setup remaps, macros, etc. The controller could do with a better grip underneath.Another complaint that applies to so many controllers on the market like this... i hate that only certain keys can be remapped. In particular, I really want to be able to remap the "Select" and "Start" buttons. A minor irksome trait that can be bypassed on PC with third party apps, sometimes. But still, too many controllers go out of the way to try and prevent this. Let us remap ALL the standard buttons, thank you! Finally, a secondary button to press to enable turbo manually would've best instead of more permanent remaps. Like say I would just press a button underneath at the same as ABXY whatever, any button in conjunction for only TEMPORARY turbo instead of a permanent option customized in the presets. Turbo is only so useful in temp conditions and must be quickly turned off to resume natural gameplay. Being able to turn it on and off on the fly, i feel, is the best approach that this controller lacks natively. Another issue you can bypass using third party apps on PC, or even just Steam configuration, really.

A Solid Alternative to the Xbox Elite
I’ve only had the ManbaOne for about a week, but I’m already impressed. I was about to grab another Xbox Elite controller before I stumbled on this. Honestly, I’m glad I didn’t. This thing has way more functionality for about half the price (maybe less). The built-in menu system is super easy to navigate, the RGB lights look slick (not over-the-top like some), and it feels solid in the hands. The build quality is great, and I love that it doesn’t have those rubber grips like the Elite. Those always peeled off after a while and drove me nuts. That’s not an issue here. I’m mainly using this for Xbox Cloud Gaming on my Samsung TV and Gforce Now, and it’s working great overall. There is one small hiccup I’ve seen twice (that didn't occur with the Elite) where the “X” button acts like it’s double mapped when I start a new session on Gforce Now. I’m not sure if it’s the controller or just something funky with the app, but resetting the keymap to default fixes it in a second. It hasn’t been a major issue. My only real complaint is the buttons. They’re not bad, but they don’t feel super crisp or clicky like the Elite’s. I’d call them kind of tacky, not in a cheap way, just different. Also, unless I’m missing something, I wish I could map the back buttons to actual PC keys (like M1 to the number 1 key). That would be a nice option.I saw a few people mention that the lights stay on while charging in the dock. I don’t use the dock, just the USB-C port, and I haven’t noticed that at all. No light issues or anything annoying like that.Overall, this controller goes above and beyond for the price. It feels like something that should be getting a lot more attention. If you want close-to-Elite features without the Elite price, this thing is definitely worth trying.
