FABULOUS-looking floating candle decoration!
I thought I had reviewed this as after taping them up on the ceiling, my eyes popped out when I saw the effect! Different-height, floating candles, flickering, warm yellow candle-like appearance... SOOOO Harry Potter-esque, fabulous! So here's the official review. Very thin, but strong wire - I think it's a PVC/or nylon thread that's securely attached to the tips of the candles. Even with batteries, they held perfectly! We went with white gaffer's tape. Check out the photos... virtually invisible! I did NOT cut any of the thread... rather I'd gather it up, and tape the thread to the piece of gaffer's tape, then tape the whole thing to the ceiling.Battery life: not bad... couple of evening's, going for a solid 4-6 hours, using Amazon Basic's AA rechargeables. NOTE: the wand... it self-drains. I'm not sure why. After about 12 hours, it's dead. Not a bid deal..again because I use rechargeable batteries, but it was a bit annoying. When the candles' batteries are out of power, they begin flashing - short burst every several seconds. This ..can wake you up! Hah! Not a big deal.. just removed the battery and dealt with it the next day. Of course, they all kinda die at the same time, so one would go, then another, etc. It was useful to give me an idea of battery life, and to know which candle needed to be replaced. I replaced batteries while they were mid-air! LIFT the candle so as not to be weight on it, then you may need to shake the candle to get the battery out - rechargeable batteries are a bit larger in size than normal ones. I didn't try my much better Tenergy AA batteries, but..for this purpose, it's fine. I had 20 candles floating for about a month or so... and guests LOVED them! It's over... now you have to put them away.Ugh. That long, nylon thread curls and tangles easily. It's the right thread to use, so.. even if I did it myself, I'd have used something similar, and had the same issues. So I figured out a system, and perhaps this will be useful to you:- leave about 2" of thread at the tip, and begin rolling the thread around 2 or 3 fingers - see my photos- hold the circle of thread together, then twist it into a figure 8- THEN you can use the tiny supplied twist ties, or make your own by cutting down normal ones- You can stack them inside the box... use the cardboard to cover the tops of one set because the thread will want to "pop" outI was amazed that I got it done, and being able to put these things away for next year was the main reason I'm reviewing this, giving it a good score, and hoping others won't get frustrated with the potential mess. These things are amazing...and create a very cool effect!NOTE: to turn them on, you MAY have to direct the wand higher... ABOVE the tips. That seemed to set them all ON in one push. OR..just keep holding the wand. Many reported the wand not working at all. Well, it's infrared, I think, and it works as line of sight, so... you may need to click a few times. But if you say the right magic words, "LUMOS MAXIMA," that should do the trick. lol!I did not use the timer function with the lights - didn't know there was one until I saw it on the review. Could be useful, but...since these die-off in 2-3 days' worth of lighting, I'd rather control it myself.Be patient.. make sure the tape holds - we had one fall, and it makes... a loud sound when hitting the floor, but it DID NOT BREAK. Otherwise, all 19 other candles stayed up for a solid month using white gaffer's tape. CAREFUL not to put too much gaffer's on a ceiling..you can and will pull paint off! Even our Scotch Magic tape pulls some paint off once in a while. It's the price you pay for decorating!

Amazing light and so much fun
I used 2.5 boxes for an 8' Christmas tree. One candle didn't work but I still highly recommend. In daylight the candles are very white. When turned on at night the flame is amber gold. Remote wand works great. Elevated my Christmas tree game!

Coolest teen bedroom lighting!
These were a Christmas present for my Harry Potter loving daughter! They're SO cool! There are several different kinds of floating candles out there and these are by far the coolest and most realistic looking that I've seen! We used clear command strip hooks on the ceiling to make them appear like they're truly floating and they went up so easily! The attached fishing line is a very generous length, enabling you to customize how high or low you'd like them to hang. The wand remote is super responsive and such a fun feature (daughter LOVES the wand). The candles have a gorgeous flicker to them and they give off a decent amount of light when on! I plan to get some rechargable batteries to keep in her room so she can switch them out and recharge as necessary. Definitely leveled-up her bedroom!

Nice
They work great and look nice. I actually bought tiny clear plastic (earing) hooks to tie at the ends for easy up and down (for the end of the season, changing batteries, trouble shooting, etc). It works great. However I have chronically had a problem with a few of them staying lit. It's probably an internal connection issue, it's not the battery. But the candles are too small to trouble shoot or repair.I raised this back up to 4 stars because the seller promptly sent some replacement candles. They do look very nice and I would buy them again, especially given sellers responsiveness.

Prepare to be infatuated
The media could not be loaded. I of course saw something similar on a tiktok video and immediately had to find them.... not disappointed even a little. These are cheaper than the ones I originally saw and they are great! The Product:They don't come with batteries but they do come with the fishing string already attached to each, and a good 4.5ft of it at least (the listing says 4.9ft), so it was suuuper easy to get them hung up. The candles are white plastic and the bottoms screw on. Usually I see issues with the threading but these are great and snug.I used the small plastic command hooks to hang them from my porch ceiling and it's perfect.Lighting:They give off the perfect amount of ambient light while they flicker and they look pretty realistic too.The wand is the best part though! It's got two small buttons on the lower end where you hold it and everyone (kids and adults alike) love flicking it around to turn them all on and off🤣Battery life:As of right now they've probably had a total of 20ish hours of use (2-3hrs a day) and I use Amazon basics AAAs in them. Currently all going strong.Dislikes:There's no timer function on these like other battery/ remote operated candles I have and I really wish there was.Overall:You'll love them. Halloween... A Harry Potter themed party... or just because you wanna feel magical, these are a fun addition to the decor!
