Q: Is this safe to use on a black show cat's coat? Will it fade or strip the black coat?

It does not affect the color. I also show cats and have used it on different colors. It is used for deep cleaning and does a wonderful job! It will not strip the coat. I do use as part of a series of shampoos to get my cats ready for shows.

Q: Will this wash off spot on flea treatment such as Frontline Plus?

According to the box of Frontline Plus, it “remains effective after bathing,…”. Since this shampoo is nice, but not some special super-effective soap, I presume that Frontline Plus remains effective after bathing with it. That said, I would wait a day after application so as to not literally wash it off, or at least wait until it is completely dry, as directed on the package.

Q: can this be used on cats?

Yes, This is my starting point for all my show cats baths.
