Reliable, Does everything, easy to clean
Bought a second one of these after having the first for years. It has worked hard making gallons of soups each year from home grown veg. The original is still going strong and i gave it to a friend who loves it. I chose this one again as it has been reliable, the non stick is very good, it will saute and makes soups with little effort and no other pans. After a few years the original has one small spot on the bottom where the non stick has worn down a little in one small area, and a small amount burns on this spot. This happened as in saute it gets very hot and you should lift the lid and stir the contents every couple of minutes, i left it too long a few times. Stirring is not a problem as the saute function cooks quickly and when you put the lid back on it remembers where it is up to.There is no need to lift the lid to stir once it is on soup making function. The pot can be removed for very easy cleaning. During harvest season my soup maker has made 4 or 5 batches every day for 2 months and regular use through the year and has never had any other problem. With this new one i will just ensure i stir regularly during saute to maintain the non stick.

So glad I bought this one.
I didn’t make soup because it was too much hassle. I am not a great cook but I do like home made soup. A bit of leek and potato in the microwave was about my limit. Now with this Supa-Dupa Soup Maker I make soup 2 sometimes 3 days a week. I am trying all sorts of new (made up) recipes with the veg left in my Fridge - the stuff you think about chucking out but is not quite off. My soups are now full of flavour, my Son loves them too!! The fact that you can Saute in this too makes a big difference for me. It locks in all that lovely flavour. I sauté onions etc and throw them in my slow cooker and add in more to make a soup! Two meals in one. Why not, while you are chopping veg anyway. It’s very easy to clean. The inner compartment just pops out at the push of a button so its easier to hold and clean. I hold it over the bowl and wash with a cloth and soapy water then rinse under the tap. It does have a self clean which I use if I have a thick soup that might stick to the sides a bit. Not often that happens though. I think its worth paying a little extra for the extra features, the centre popping out for cleaning, the self clean function, the sauté function. It quick too and the soup tastes lovely and you only chopped veg and threw it in the machine! With a chicken stock of course. The soup tastes good without using the Sauté too. You can also make cold fresh fruit drinks and milkshakes. I love it. It looks good on the counter too.

A gadget I actually use !
Over the years I have bought many gadgets, only to find they were difficult to clean and they ended up at the back of the cupboard. So when my neighbour told me about her soup maker I was a bit sceptical.. However she assured me it was easy to use and clean and she was using hers everyday and even made me a bowl of soup to try - lovely neighbour- so I decided to give it a go. I have not been disappointed. It is about the size of a jug kettle so doesn't take up much room on the worktop. It is so easy to use and you can have hot soup ready to eat in about 22/25 minutes, depending on the consistency you choose. It comes with recipes in the instruction book but you will soon learn that on fact you can put any combination of chopped vegetables in it with hot stock. It also encourages using up odds and ends of vegetables you might otherwise throw away. I really can't think of any negative things to say about it.Update of my review:I bought the soup maker in August 2020.Sadly after just 2 months the soup maker had stopped working. Amazon were very quick to send a replacement under the guarantee and everything was fine again. However it is now May 2023 and the last couple of times I used the soup maker it cooked the vegatebles, but when it should be blending them for a smooth soup, there was just an awful noise but no blending! Of course by now the soup maker is out of guarantee. I contacted the makers, Morphy Richards to ask if it could be repaired but they do not provide a repair service. So it seems I now have a soup maker that can only boil the vegetables (which I can as easily do in a saucepan on my hob) but not blend them to a smooth soup and I guess it will have to go to the recycling centre. Very disappointing!

Constantly trips electrics!
I’ve just bought my 2nd one of these in the hopes I was just unlucky with the first. The first one worked perfectly for about 3 months. Then kept tripping the house electrics! Was guttered as it makes lovely soup when it works. Bought a new one and set up, tripped the house electrics on first use! So now gave 2 that just blow my electrics, one is brand new! Will be sending it back and looking for a different brand.

Great soup maker
Bought sometime ago in July 2024 when soup makers are usually bit cheaper- this one £28 less than September 2025 price. Anyway it is a good extra capacity soup maker - lots of options from consistency to portion size. Found best to defrost frozen vegetables first before adding. Tinned lentils also cook better than raw in this slow cooker. Always use saute function to soften onion or brown off bacon. Makes delicious thick soup in about 20mins - all soups made have frozen well too. For speed using this soup maker i suggest ' Cupboard staples to have in- butter beans chickpeas tinned tomatoes mixed herbs garlic powder mixed herbs. Freezer staples - defrost first in microwave - chopped butternut squash, chopped sweet potato, sliced carrot, chopped peppers, sliced leeks.
