Just what my mum needs
I use it as well. But I was looking for one that my mum can use herself easily. The old one we have the leaver on the right you shove down. You sometimes feel like you are going to turn into The Hulk just by trying to push the lever down. And it's like "Nah I'm going to pop back up and annoy you" haha This is the main problem for my mum when using the old one. She doesn't keep well. I am her Carer. But I don't mind her making a bit of toast. As it can't be burned if the setting is left as is. Which needs to be at 1 and a half maybe (maybe) two at most. No higher or it's cremated. She likes to have toast at any time of the day or night if she fancies it. So I had to get this nice little toaster. It does the trick nicely. Slap the slices in and then gently push the lever down. And off it goes. If you use I think it's Kingsmill the slices are too big. So you have to cook them. Then turn them upside down and cook the top end as well. No big deal. Good for a quick snack or light breakfast or something to nibble on if you've got a cold or are ill and have lost your appetite. No regrets buying this. Might actually buy another one shortly. As a spare. You never know when you might need it. Ten bucks is all it cost. Bargain. Oh and the "Toaster Leavings" tray slides out at the bottom. So you can be rid of the bits that fall of the slides when inside the machine. Anyone familiar with Married With Children will know the Toaster Leavings thing haha

toaster
this toaster will only take small slices of bread , i got mine for work if you have more than two slices the 2nd lot of toast will be more cooked than the first so bear that in mind , i would recommend this because it dose the job and works well

Waste of money
Worst toaster I’ve ever used. I’ve had it for 3 days and it was an absolute waste of money. First use it stank the whole kitchen. Three days in a row and the bread got stuck and same for crumpets. This morning it made the electricity jump cause and I could see sparks of electricity while I was trying to plug it in. If you are thinking about buying this toaster please, buy yourself a drink instead.

not big enough slots
the slots are not big enough for a standard slice of bread either upright or sideways i will have to buy another one.

the smallest, cheap? nasty? unimpressive toaster i have ever used
this is the closest impersonation of a toaster that i have ever seenits the size of a child's toyi didnt think anything would fit into itand i wasnt far wrong.i generally use cheap supermarket bagged bread for toasting which barely fits into this toaster.in fact i'd say that the bread needs to be trimmed down to fit properly.i tried crumpets in it thinking they are small but the width of the toaster openings are narrow enough that crumpets have to be pushed into the slots - that's a first for any toaster i have ever used before.what i suspected would happen did happen, the cycle ended, the crumpets were stuck inside the toaster,so i had to lever them out by pushing the cooking actuator upwards until i could get a hold of them and pull them out by hand.that's not an impressive design pifco, not impressive at all.the 700watt elements worked fine and my impression is that it cooked evenly enough but took just a little longer than toasters i have used before - but because of my overall bad impression i may just have been looking for things to find wrong about it...? i dont have a (decent) toaster to compare it with, which is of course why i purchased a toaster :)so my impression is: very very UNimpressed at the design and the size.how on earth could pifco mess up such an easy design ? oh i know, its called materials saving. they use less metal and plastic, so over the many units made the cost to the manufacturer per unit is lower.and bingo !!! that's why i bought it. its a cheaper unit to buy and wont get anything like the use a family would give it, and that's why i MAY end up keeping it. its easier to store under the cupboard being smaller so i may be able to store another bag of flour in the same space as a decent toaster would take up !caravanners and campers note it may be ok for you?also i did wonder why the box was taped up so much with "extra" tape.was what i had delivered to me was an open-box unit that had been returned?will i keep it or return it is the question i have to ponder that question today.my final thoughts are if you want a decent sized toaster then dont buy this one,but for occasional use such as the use i will give it, it may be "good enough" if you dont mindtrimming down the size of your bread BUT if you are a bread purchaser from bakers, or perhaps eventhe larger "pudding bread" purchased cheaply from supermarkets (which toasts up very well) it just wont fit well in this toaster and certainly not for crumpets which EVERY other toaster i have used bar this one managed to cope with wellmy final conclusion: buy this toaster only after reading the proviso's above. you may end up regretting it
