I wasn't expecting much when I got this. Sitting on my table it seems like a cheesy piece. However, after fitting it, the trim piece seems to fit well. Looks factory and does an excellent job protecting the sill. Glad I bought it.

I prepped the surface with isopropyl alcohol an that didn't help. I'm not sure if I'm going to bother to return it or find some adhesive that I can use. The rubber doesn't stay in place very well without the adhesive. My recommendation is not to buy this product unless you have some excellent double-sided adhesive tape of your own.

I got the set of 4 for the doors as well as the 1 for the rear hatch for my Tesla y. They came rolled up in boxes so I had to lay them out a few days to flatten enough for installing. Then prior to installing, I noticed the tape and Velcro were peeling. I had to order 3m double tape to replace the tape it came with. They did fit nicely once they were re-taped and we’re east to install. They have yet to warp or peel and it has been a week. However, the weather has been cold. All of them were as I just explained. I thought I got a good deal but I later found a cheaper set on Amazon. Considering I had to also purchase 3m tape to secure these, I feel I paid way too much. They do look nice and I think will serve the purpose for why I got them.

Nice made product to protect the top of your rear bumper. Just use adhesive wipes on area of installation. Look's like "OEM" product! I highly recommend using this product. Protect your Tesla!

I thought this was a ridged plastic cover for the back lip of my Tesla Model Y but it actually a floppy piece of rubber. Given that the floppy rubber only stays in place if the off brand double stick tape (not 3M automotive tape) keeps it in place, a lot is riding on the tape. I just completed the installation and so far the the off brand tape does not stick sufficiently. When I push down on the product it get the tape to completely adhere to the factory hard plastic part I can hear it come back up when I remove my hands. Also, when I removed the red plastic strips on the double stick tape before putting it in place, I could see some of the tape was coming away from the rubber product. If it can't sufficiently adhere to the product it came with how will the other side adhere to the car's trunk lip? I will give this a chance to stick over night but if its no better this is going back. Its a brand new car but I also thoroughly cleaned the car trunk lip plastic so it was properly prepped for the installation.

I didn’t read the reviews so when this arrived, I didn’t think it was rubber. I assumed it was plastic and just popped over the piece in there. Not an issue, I should’ve just read more. It came with like 20 pieces of tape on it so hopefully it sticks but after reading these reviews, it’s no biggie if it doesn’t. I’ll just slide off the old tape and put on some double sided 3M tape. Looks good and will help protect. Must have for those with kids and strollers.

This is a nice little addition. Lots of the reviews state that the tape is cheap. I used panel prep to wipe down any oils or debris and then used the included activation wipes and so far, it seems to be holding up well. Keeps items from scratching your paint while loading the trunk.

I tried so many times and so many things, but this thing won't stick.If you thing you put that together it will come out very soon. So don't west your time and money.
