How is the quality of this blanket compared to a fison wool blanket

I am retired Navy and once a avid out doormen I am 86 and over the years i have never wore anything for winter in the wood or out other than Pendleton, Now that I am old and like my warm butt by the fire side i snuggle up in a Pendleton 100% wool blanket only. My Best Hunting Coat Use to be Woolrich but they have gone like many to cheaper labor, and quality . Quality Wool is what made them Famouse, How ever The old Name Mackinaw, after Makinaw Michigan. Made by Filson is my top choice now, But Other than those items it Pendleton always.

So it says the item weight is 16 ounces but the shipping weight is 6.5 pounds?

Fabric weight is the weight of 9ne square yard. This blanket is made from a 16oz wool/cotton blend fabric. The finished product weighs 5 lbs.

Does this have to be dry cleaned?

Yes, and trust me don't wash it in machine and dryer - I had an expensive Hermes blanket washed and dried (by cleaning crew) it turned into a postage size scrub pad :-(

Whar are the colors ub the Hemrich Stripe, please?
