I am throwing about 55-60 from 60 feet. Would this work for me?

Don't waste your money on this. My kids got about 5 minutes of use from this net before it kepy falling over. Spend the extra money and get one that will last.

Those types of balls should be fine on the unit. You may want to add some weight to the base to ensure it does not get knocked over.

How does it hold up being outside all the time?

The rebound met holds up well to the elements, however, it does not hold up well when you throw ball against it. My son has thrown the ball at it and it has broken the threading where we've had to replace it with rubber bands.
