High quality tuners, rock solid
Smooth tuning. Stay in tune. This is a locking tuner so if you screw the thumb wheel out to the limit (but not beyond because you might damage the screw or break it off) you can lube both the worm gear and the main gear inside.I dip a tooth pick in the grease and put it on the gears inside the tuner. Looking inside it looks like brass gears. I lubed it with lubriplate, a Lithium based grease. I suspect all geared tuners use brass gears so lubing with Lithium grease is a very good idea. It also helps to give the tuner that silky smooth feel.I adjusted the tension with the philips head screws in the tuning knobs. Ultra-smooth tuning.I had to drill holes for the screws because the old tuners used a peg (Sperzel tuners) instead of a screw. No problem. I was very careful about drilling the correct size hole and using screw lube on the threads so I would not break or strip the heads any of the phillips head screws.Note on adjusting the screws that hold the knobs in place: Do not loosen these too much or the tuner will bind because it will allow the worm gear to pull outward slightly while the knob is rotated. You can see this happening if you look closely at the back of the tuner. For smooth operation the screw has to be pretty snug but not tight. You can judge this by rotating the knob and feeling the torque required. Using a string winder gives you the feel for it.The appearance of these gold tuners is right up there with my Grover and Schaller tuners on other guitars. Those tuners were over a hundred bucks.I love the Guyker 18:1 tuning ratio. It makes tuning more accurate and faster with the smaller knobs on 6 inline tuners. The Sperzals had only a 12:1 tuning ration which is to coarse for me, particularly with the smaller tuning knobs on a strat-style guitar (6 inline).I have found over the years that Guyker parts have just as good quality and life expectancy as the higher priced tuners. It's pretty surprising. Don't let the low price convince you that it's low quality. I don't know how they do it, but the quality is great. I found that to be true of all Guyker parts that I have purchased including Bridges, String Stops, and now tuners. So these days my first choice is Guyker and if they don't have what I need I look to the higher priced stuff. All the big name brands have much higher prices, but my experience is that the quality isn't any better than Guyker. Maybe i shouldn't say this because Guyker might raise their prices!I don't get paid for writing this review and am not afilliated with Guyker. I just appreciate high quality and affordable prices. I own about 22 guitars (kind of lost count) LoL. And I work on them all. I love working on guitars (and playing).

Nice upgrade for cheap import guitar
I just installed these on my Xaviere (Guitar Fetish) Telecaster. The stock tuners worked fine, but I don't like the sharper edges on the buttons of the stock tuners that come on a $200 guitar, nor do I like the non split post. Vintage style tuners have a split post you stick the string end into to start the wrap. If I can't have those, locking tuners are the other option. These tuners dropped right in, perfect match for bushing hole and screw hole, locked down on the restring with the old strings just fine (I didn't even have to change strings), and appear to have a finer gear ratio which helps with tuning precision. The smoother edges of the peg heads make it much nicer to tweak the tuning, which is pretty important because I use this guitar a lot for alternate tunings. Are these as good as an $80 set, probably not, but they're pretty darned good, and a nice improvement for a cheap guitar!

Beautiful, Good Working Tuners
First guitar build, a Strat and wanted all black hardware. These looked a compromise between really cheap what-evers and Gotoh or Grover.. The tuners are solid and have some heft to them. If you've never held a bare neck, they are very light. After I installed these tuners I picked up the neck and was surprised how heavy it felt. They were very consistent and work very well. I have locking Grovers and these feel just as nice. They installed perfectly, no cutting, reaming or shimming and are working very well. I am surprised how well the guitar stays in tune, especially since it has a floating bridge. If I were not experimenting with different parts and manufacturers for guitar builds, I'd use these for all builds. Very Nice!

Good quality at a fair price
Bought these for an Epihpone guitar and am happy with the purchase. They are stable and keep the guitar in tune and that is what we need from tuners.Would I use these on a high end Les Paul or PRS? Probably not. But for Epiphone and other guitars in the sub-$1,200 range, these tuners are hard to beat.

Better than you would think at this price point
I’ve had these on my 1983 Electra for over a year and a half, and I haven’t had any issues whatsoever. Plenty of tuning stability. The locking mechanisms hold their torque. They look good. They’re heavy. They turn smoothly. And of course, for $40, this represents some amazing value. My singular point of criticism, if I was to find one, is finish. I can tell that there is a certain level of precise finishing that isn’t quite there. I wouldn’t expect that on tuners at this price point, but the slight roughness that exists on certain components of these tuners (like the actual string hole) is evident on close inspection. Certainly not bad enough, however, to knock off a star and hurt the overall rating.ALSO- double check the sizing of your guitar’s tuner holes in the headstock. I had to tediously drill out some extra material to make these tuners fit. I didn’t expect that, and it was a nerve-wracking process!Would buy again for my other instruments, without a doubt!

Quality level that punches far above its weight.
For years I’ve sworn by Graphtech ratio tuners. I recently bough a Tagima strat clone. It was $230 so I didn’t want to spend $200 on tuners. I decided to go with these guyker tuners. I am so glad I did. These tuners are great. They fit the strat style tuner holes perfectly and required zero modification. The build quality is 90% of the Graphtech tuners at 1/5 the price. It’s kind of crazy honestly. I definitely recommend trying them on your guitar. You won’t be sorry. But even if you are, you can just send them back.

Best price to quality ratio locking tuners!
Easy install on my Ibanez acoustic-electric. Looks great and feels about as good as my bigger name branded tuners. I put locking tuners on all my guitars and would buy Guyker again.

5 out of 6
Well - 5 of them work great but the sixth on is not smooth. Through 1/2 turn it feels very stiff then eases up for half a turn then repeats. The other 5 are consistently smooth. Will probably return them
