I have bought several of these the price is good for quality. Boxes are well waxed and hold up well to our nasty winters. Frame foundations could use a bit more wax but all makers foundations need more wax. Boxes go together perfect and look awesome once together.

I purchase two different kits of this style from two different vendors for the purpose to compare them each other. The hive and components look to be pretty solid. Plenty of wax on the boxes and parts. The inter cover was not notched for a top entrance so I will have to notch that myself. The joints are solid and the assembly was very easy and the wax made the seams seal up very well. The one draw back I found for both the kits was the shipping boxes. The carboard box was barely strong enough to hold all the components in the box. The shipping box should be a heavy box because the shippers are not gentle with these boxes and they had wholes punched into them. They might want to consider strapping the boxes also because when I open the box it just fell apart. I ended up with missing parts and having one of the med boxes being broken. Which they promptly replaced by their customer service reps.

First of all, this heavy box was delivered in great shape. Box looked ragged and a corner drop but parts were perfect. Frame assembly went great and fast with titebond III and 1/4 in staple in 1" length. The included nails would have taken twice the time, if not longer. Boxes went together like a breeze and the included screws went in nicely with one left over. Everything is perfect with no splits or damage. I'm so extremely impressed with BeeCastle! They even included a stainless steel mouse guard which was not on the parts list as an unexpected gift. With the $20 coupon at checkout this has been an incredible purchase. I'll definitely have to support BeeCastle in the future! This is my first hive and more to come. Highly Recommend BeeCastle 5+1 Stars.

Beecastle has the best bee hives on the market in my opinion! The ducktail groves fall neatly and quickly into place. The hives are heavily coated in wax. I’ve tried several other brands and it’s definitely BeeCastle for me from now on. Durability, design is great!

The Newcastle Langstroth beehive is beautifully made and came pre-waxed, which is a huge plus for protecting it from the elements. The wood is sturdy, the craftsmanship is solid, and it was easy to assemble. My bees took to it quickly, and it’s holding up great in varying weather. Highly recommend for both new and experienced beekeepers looking for a durable and functional hive.

Great hives. The wood is cut to perfection. The dove tail joints on the boxes are as nice as any I have ever worked with. The frames go together perfectly. I check each one with a speed square before nails go in and before the glue has a chance to dry, but have found none that needed more than just a little adjustment to be square. The ONLY problem I have had with the 3 I have assembled is a split in one of the honey super ends. It looked like rough handling during shipment and took a little glue and an hour in a set of clamps to repair like new.
