Scumdogs of the Universe

This is definitely the best GWAR album. Songs like Salaminizer, King Queen, Love Surgery, etc are great heavy metal songs, but also show GWAR's humor perfectly. Either this or Battle Maximus are the perfect albums for you to introduce yourself to them with.

Sounds great on vinyl. With this purchase I just need to find the 8 track of this album and I will have this album on all possible media mediums.Sorta sad that they changed the liner notes and took out Nippleus as one of the members.

Wow, what can I say about "Scumdogs of the Universe". I bought this back in 1990 and it blew my mind. I had not heard anything like it then and I still haven't heard anything like it. This album is nearly perfect. My favorite GWAR is "America must be destroyed" but this one is a very close second. If you're a GWAR fan then I know you already have it.If you are not a GWAR fan do yourself a favor and buy it.SCUMDOG FOREVER.

Excellent follow-up to Hell-o and good precursor to America Must Be Destroyed. I have been listening to this album for close to 25 years and still like it just as well. In my opinion the first three albums were their best, but follow up stuff was different enough to me to make comparisons tough.

schon relativ lange her als ich dieses Album das erste Mal hören durfte, rund 10 Jahre. Damals noch als halbwüchsiger wurde ich hauptsächlich durch die Kostüme auf die Band aufmerksam bzw. kurze Zeit später durch die Bühnenshow.Viele reduzieren die Band auf eben jene blutrünstige Bühnenshow, aber tun die Musik als unausgegorenen Stilmix ab. Dem kann ich in keinster weiße zustimmen! Gut man sollte keine Rockopern oder ähnliches erwarten.GWAR`s Mix aus hauptsächlich Punk, Metal und Hardcore klang nie so gut wie auf diesem Klassiker. Kein einziger schlechter Song. Zumal noch der absolute Bandklassiker schlechthin mit drauf ist: Sick of you. Kann man nicht meckern über dieses "Meisterwerk".

Best album ever.... I still love it after all these years and I'm 48. It's actually quite brilliant. Way ahead of its time. We miss you, Dave.

Scumdogs of the Universe is more or less what I would call metal punk. This CD is definitely a classic. But I would not rate it to highly. "SOTU" is old and not as good as "America must be destroyed" or "Lust in space".
