I got this for my girls for various educational purposes. First of all, they have a white board and learn better when the can pretend to be a teacher. Second of all, holding these pointers gives them a more hands on approach to learning. Lastly they just looked like a fun thing to have.I am not at all saddened by the purchase of this product. My girls love it. As a matter of fact, we use it for all sorts of educational purposes. I have to say we find the most use with math but they are still great.My girls love holding the pointers and counting the counters. They can also use it to track math sentences and read the words they write on the board.The construction is pretty solid plastic and already has withstood hours of their play. Well made and would definitely recommend.

I first saw something similar to this in a dollar store. We bought one and it broke after a few weeks of the kids accidentally dropping it. I got these even though I thought they would be the same as what we had previously purchased (they were sold out of the other kind in the dollar store and didn't think they would get anymore). They have gone through several months of being used roughly, accidentally dropped, and even stepped on (by the littlest and lightest kid) and are still in tact. They are not as long as I had hoped, but they are still a great way to help with learning activities. These are especially helpful for my younger kid to be able to point to something that he cannot reach and his older brother can!

It started out as a joke gift, but the two art teachers I purchased these for love them. They use them daily to point at specific areas of art pieces without blocking the artwork with their hands.Apparently, the students love using them too! Whenever it's time to do in-class critiques the students use these pointers.

My son actually told me he needed one of these after watching YouTube videos and seeing the teachers use them. And oh boy, they definitely bring the fun to his learning experience! He loves to use his P-P-Pointer all by himself on our at home circle time board and says he's even smarter now. Not to mention that they have occasionally been swords or magic wands (and durable enough to withstand it). I love Learning Resources products; always great quality, bright colors and fun!!

Larger than expected. Will Serve my purpose. Easy to use. Great for younger kids. Durable and purposeful.

These are great. I actually bought them for my kids because they like to play teacher, but I think they're pretty cool. One of my daughter's teachers has one, and the kids love it. It's a TAD on the heavy side for a pointer, but the hand is foam, which prevents damaging surfaces with scratches or whatever. It seems well-made, and I'm certain they'll last a long time.

These were sent by mistake. However, I gave one to my daughter 3yrs old. On her own without me even teaching her she started pointing to letters on words around the room. She created a “teacher game” using the pointers. She is now trying to read everything around the room. I gave the other two to kids in my classroom. They love these for Shared Reading and it lets me know they are on task when I am sitting far from them during small group instruction. These are great for all ages and encourages reading!

I work in a place that's full of people who want to touch my computer monitors and leave greasy fingerprints all over them. I keep one of these pointers on my desk, and when they start reaching out their greasy, grimy fingers, I quickly hand them one of these pointers and tell them not to touch my monitors, please, and we all have a good laugh. I have even bought extras to hand out to chronic monitor-touchers around the office. So these are great. And, don't ever touch someone else's monitor.
