Although the price has gone up from when I bought it, it's still the best tip tool, and that included the old metal last 4 ever tool I had which is a distant second now since the burnisher does not fit even 12.5 mm shafts very well so 1/3rd of the tool is useless. Burnisher works well on all tip sizes (most shafts I use and work on for friends are 12.5 mm or less), the shaping surface is amazing, it cuts through tips cleanly and easily, much better than sandpaper or the larger metal scraping surfaces some other tools have.The tip pick insert that covers the burnisher hole is a bit hard to keep in, but it does stay in with a bit of a push and twist.

Works well, I can fit it in my bag n use it weekly to keep my tips in shape. Cost effective n does the trick!

Shape until the dot on top is about an eighth of an inch. Woks great then.

We bought this when our new pool cue tip broke off after the first use. Having never used one of these tools before, I found it pretty easy to figure out. There are also plenty of online videos and resources to help you along. Great essential tool if you own a pool table.

My tip shaper broke/ came apart labeled as (A) in the advertized pictures above, one of the few times i used it. Rest of the tool still in working condition.
