The media could not be loaded. I got carpal tunnel surgery on both wrists at the same time which rendered me useless. I bought 2 other ones before getting this one and wish I had bought this before my surgery so it was waiting for me to use. It's so easy to use. Just push a button and automatically squeezes the lid and twists the lid!

I'm impressed with how much force this opener can exert to open stubborn jars. It generally works well, but I've run into a couple of problems. It doesn't always reset properly after opening a jar. This requires some manual twisting of the mechanism to get it back to where it needs to be to open the next jar. Usually, I can get it positioned properly. But once I had to disassemble the unit to get all the parts back to where they needed to be. I consider this to be a bit of a design flaw. Most of the time, it's a minor nuisance. I just hope I don't have to disassemble it very often. Lastly, it doesn't open all shapes of jars, but this is not surprising.

I had one and thought it was too large to fit in my downsized kitchen. After ordering 3 other flat kinds, I just reordered this one! Keeping it no matter if I have to hang it from the ceiling 😆 It WORKS BETTER THAN ANY other kind of lid opener. Recently went to a vacation rental by owner, and there was an entire drawer full of jar openers! Hmm. Why? Because none of them worked well!

I love this hat opener so much! It's very strong and it's made well! My sister got a jar of artichoke hearts and she couldn't get the jar opened, so I ordered her one of these openers. She had a bit of trouble, the machine slipped sideways and got stuck sideways in the jar top. Then she was afraid to try it again, so she brought her jar and her owner to my house, so I could help her. I got it open with the opener the first time! I had to put the jar between my legs while I sat on my recliner, I centered the lid and pushed the jar opener button, it had to work really hard but then I heard a loud pop and it was open! I did have to push down on the top of the opener to keep it from slipping sideways. It was a jar of artichokes from Sam's Club. I've never had a jar that hard to open! I even tried putting a butter knife under the lid to let the pressure escape, but that didn't work, I couldn't get it to release! Thank God for this well made jar opener!

I had high hopes for this jar opener, especially for my elderly mother-in-law, but it just didn’t perform as expected. It’s finicky and inconsistent...sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. It’s not as user-friendly as advertised, and definitely not ideal for someone with limited strength or dexterity. For the price, I expected something more reliable and helpful. Unfortunately, it’s just not worth the money.

I purchased the jar opener for my grandmother who has severe arthritis and cannot use her hands much at all anymore and I was so surprised at how easy it was to use. She was so excited to show me how she can now independently open jars and it was fun to watch which was a bonus. She showed her friends and they also ordered one for themselves. I even borrowed it when I had carpal tunnel surgery and it was a life saver. Highly recommend this product especially if people have issues with their hands.
