Nemisys 3821 Vivid Domestic/Asian Deluxe Scan Kit

I purchased this scanner to replace an AutoXRay EZ Scan 6000 that was giving me trouble communicating with some later model vehicles (2 08 Explorers and an 08 Kia Van). I needed a Scanner that would be able to give me more than just DTCs for SRS and ABS like many of the cheaper claim they can do. This scanner can access most vehicle systems on Asian and Domestic vehicles. There are some things to get used to; some systems such as SRS and Body systems are separated into individual components (ie. Seat Weight Sensors, OPDS Units, Relay Modules, Gauge Control Module and the like). Be mindful that there are No Bi-Directional controls like the Genisys has but the operating system is based on the Genisys platform so you can customize the data stream list and choose which PIDs you want to graph. The software allows you to store recorded snap shots to play back later either on the tool or your PC. If you work primarily on Asian and Domestic vehicles and can't justify 2,000 dollars or more for a Genisys or even more for a Snap On scanner this might meet your needs.

I spent several hours looking at scan tools and pricing I found that the OTC 3821 for the money was the best price to do the job I needed in order to find data stream on ABS system and it was difficult to find a scan tool at a reasonable price
