Q: Can two layers of film be applied? If so, how long between applications?

Yes that is possible, however two applications won't necessarily provide you with a 50% increase in strength. We haven't performed any quantifiable testing. Honestly I dont think its necessary and the more layers you apply, the worse the clarity will become.If u decide to apply two layers..I would suggest waiting 30 days between applications.

Excellent! Our films are used on a normous commercial sized windows in places such as New York City.

Q: Does this affect glass shadder alarms?

99% of the time nooooo. Keep in mind most glass break sensors contain a screw internally that you can turn left or right to adjust the sensitivity of the sensor

Q: After the film is installed, is there a specific cleaning method? Or can I use glass cleaner?

Rule of thumb is blue is bad, green is good. Blue window cleaners typically contain ammonia. Stay away from ammonia as it will damage the film overtime. Any vinegar-based window cleaner -there typically green and perform perfectly. In addition their are some spray foam cleaners that do not contain ammonia or alcohol that are also acceptable. Clean with lint free paper towel or soft lint free cloth.
