Hillsdale Fairfox Swivel Stool with Rectangular Lattice Back, Counter Height, White

These bar stools are easy to assemble with 2 people. The screw holes actually lined up! They look great and are comfortable to sit in. We ordered 4 counter height stools that fit perfectly under the counter. The swivel feature works smoothly.

These chairs are very nice and appear to be very sturdy. They are also quite comfortable. For the price they can’t be beat. As others have reported, the assembly instructions leave a lot to be desired. Putting these chairs together is actually pretty simple so why the instructions are so deficient is a mind bender. For those who are going to put these together: 1) the first step with the ring with the protruding wooden strips- the protruding side is the side that the cushion is attached to. The flat side is where the swivel attaches to. 2) when attaching the legs to the ring with the swivel, the metal swivel is on the opposite side (“down”) of the side you are attaching the legs. Just remember that the metal gets attached to the flat side of the first ring. 3) rotate the swivel to reveal the holes where the screws go to attach the swivel to the flat side of the first ring. That’s it! Why the instructions couldn’t provide these bits is a mystery. Took me a half an hour of staring at the instructions and the chair to figure this out. Also, consider getting a proper ball end Allen wrench (#4) to aid with setting the Allen screws. The provided wrench is tiny but useful in some of thr tight spaces. Hope this helps. The chairs are beautiful.

I have been looking for white bar height chairs for over a year. Happened to find these at a great price. First ordered 4. They are very sturdy, well made, great quality and easy to assemble. I did have a problem with one piece of one chair that was missing the nuts in 2 of 8 bolt holes in one of the rings. Obviously someone just forgot to install them at the factory. I emailed their customer service and showed them pics of the issue and my Amazon invoice. They didn’t send me a replace part, they sent me an entire new chair immediately! Outstanding customer service. They told me to dispose of leftover parts. I was so impressed by the quality, look and service that I ordered a fifth for our counter. They look amazing!

For the price, it's a decent chair. The first chair took me an hour and a half to put together because the instructions are so bad. There are 4 bolts shorter than the rest, doesn't say where to use those. The normal screws obviously are used to secure the padded seat to the chair, but it doesn't mention those either. It doesn't differentiate the first step which way the ring faces up or down, so make sure the first ring you are securing to the back of the chair is facing the correct way, which has more holes facing down to line up with the swivel part of the chair. Every step of the instructions calls for a washer with every bolt/screw at every step, but they don't give you enough washers... The support ring for the chair legs, that's where the shorter bolts go WITHOUT a washer. I hope this saves someone else time because overall it's not hard to put together once you figure it out and forget the instruction manual.

Purchased these bar stools in white with canvas-like cushions for my kitchen island and they look great! They are for counter height and the seat is padded comfortably and appropriate size. The bar stools swivel, are sturdy enough for my husband of 190 lbs (but I think they would hold Norm from the "Cheers" tv show). The barstools tuck in nicely under the countertop bar. They come in different finishes and heights. Having priced many bar stools, these were more than worth the price, a good value.

Assembly instructions quite easy - took me about and hour to assemble them both. They're attractive, sturdy, don't wobble and are quite comfy. A very good value and cheaper than other sites for the exact same chair.

For the price, I was impressed by the materials and ease of assembly. However out of the 3 I purchased, only 1 was without issue. One of the barstools came with a crack in the wood, luckily this was on the underside so I decided to assemble it. Another one seemed fine until it came time to bolt the legs to the seat and I realized that there were no threads in one of the 4 holes. There were still 3 of the 4 to secure so I completed it, however it was disappointing to have this experience dampened from the poor quality control. Overall I'm keeping them in my kitchen but I can't say I'd pick these again.
