A great update to one of my favourite bluetooth speakers
First things first - I've got a LOT of Bluetooth speakers. It's fair to say I'm slightly addicted to them, and have found some real gems, but I have a hard time explaining why I need to many to my wife! For use in the house I either go to my trusty Doss Soundbox XL (which is amazing but not very portable as it's a bit on the fragile side) or my Anker Motion Plus (which is a great speaker but at twice the price of this it's expensive enough that I wouldn't want to take it to a festival etc so it gets used in the garden for parties etc but doesn't leave the house). However for the last 2 years my portable speaker of choice has been my trusty original Tronsmart T6. It's had the perfect combination of being very, very durable with a decent loud sound. It's so durable I've never bothered with a case as it's pretty much indestructible and perfect for chucking into a rucksack for a festival, and will survive drops and knocks no problem. So when I found out that Tronsmart had released a new version of my go-to speaker I knew I had to buy one.Let's look at the differences between this and the old T6 first - is it worth splashing out again if you are happy with the T6? Well in a word, yes. Here's what's new:Charging in now via USB C rather than the old micro usb on the T6. This is a good thing - more speakers will switch to this but so far only my Anker Motion Plus and this have offered it. Charging takes 5 hours or so but will last around 16 hours at not-quite-full volume for me over Bluetooth, and less at lower volumes. Talking of Bluetooth it's now version 5 as opposed to 4.1 on the old T6 which in theory should boost range and stability. The speaker is a little larger and the controls have changed now - instead of everything being at the top, the volume jog wheel is at the top with other control now positioned down the side. The output has been boosted to 40w (2 x 20w speakers, the old T6 was 2 x 12.5w), and whilst it's maybe not the huge difference in real life side-by-side comparisons that I expected it does mean it's louder with less distortion at max volume. In addition to upping the output they've added some nice new features, including being able to use this as a power bank for your phone - great if you are desperate for a bit of juice for your phone away at a festival or on the beach. This is something I had on my JBL Charge 2 years ago, and it got me out of trouble a few times. There are now EQ modes similar to the Element Force Mega (standard, extra bass and 3D). To be honest I'll never use the 3D (it really doesn't add anything to my ears) but the extra bass mode does exactly as you'd expect but at the slight cost of some of the other frequencies. If you like bass-heavy electronic music, and I do, then this does the job perfectly. One new feature I need to try when I've got enough cash is TWS - you can pair two together for true stereo. I love the sound of this and will be trying to sell my old T6 to go towards funding another of these at some point.I've also got a Tronsmart Element Force Mega which we use in our bathroom for bath/shower music. If you are wondering how this compares to that they both have a slightly different sound signature, and both offer similar features (including TWS and a totally different but similarly rugged design) but I do prefer the bass response from the T6 Plus so this gets my nod - however they are both very good and there's not a lot in it.One slight negative is in a direct comparison with the T6 there appears to be a little more noticeable hiss on the Plus when listening at low volume, which I suspect is down to the SoundPulse technology they use to boost certain frequencies for clearer bass and vocals. This isn't an issue for me as I tend not to listen at very low volumes but might be for you.I've included some photos to show the old and new together - the T6 is in Red and the T6 Plus in Black. As you can see the Plus is slightly bigger is size, but it's not a huge difference. It's fair to say that this will replace the old original T6 as my go-to travel speaker, it's a very neat update on an already good design, making an already great speaker even better. It's not the loudest speaker I own, or even the best sounding, but it does for me offer the perfect balance between portability, sound, durability, waterproofing, weight etc. If you are looking for a tough, waterproof travel speaker then you can't go wrong with this for the money.

Excellent quality
The speaker has a really nice sound with 3 modes to choose from. It’s powerful enough for listening in a room with plenty of volume to spare, and the bass is deep and strong. I haven’t tested the battery yet, but there’s one issue with charging in in-line mode — the USB-C plug doesn’t fit properly alongside the mini-jack cable because the ports are too close together. The rubber-like plastic on the casing feels great to the touch, and it’s fairly heavy, which suggests the speakers inside are solid. The price is very attractive for the quality. If it weren’t for the plug space issue, I’d give it 5 stars.

Great sound, even better customer service.
I bought this back in May and enjoyed the quality of the sound and its features maybe half a dozen times before the product failed. A constant crackling and hissing sound developed making it unusable as a speaker. I listen primarily to audiobooks so I dont think it was excessive volume that caused it to fail.I could not return it through Amazon because I was outside of the returns window however, and the main reason for me leaving this review, was the recourse I received from the supplier. When I explained what had happened they initially offered a significant part refund and I could keep the product. This was generous but no good to me as I wanted a portable speaker. They then agreed to send a replacement at no charge and did not want the original item returned. The replacement is perfect and no problems at all after daily use over the last few weeks.I wanted to write this review to let people know how good, and how quickly, the supplier dealt with my problem.

Great sound for a great price!
I've had many Bluetooth speakers but I've been looking for a speaker which had the following: Bluetooth, robust,, battery life of more than a few hours, easy to use, aesthetically pleasing, sounds good and doesn't cost a fortune - well I think I've found it with the Tronsmart Bluetooth speaker - you can have a standalone Bluetooth speaker which has good sound, you can play a TF card, you can hook it up to your laptop, or TV via USB cable and it has an incredible battery life which gives you a very long play time - I've only played it for 5 hrs so far but it purports to be viable for 15 hrs+ on battery only, and it sounds great, good bass sound . The controls are easy to use all down the spine of the speaker and it's not in your face size wise or colour wise (though it would have been nice for a colour choice ie black ( which is standard), but white and grey would've been nice too. Altogether a great speaker for less than £50 abd I wouldn't hesitate to buy another on

One is good. Two is better
I bought one of these last year just to sit outside with in the garden and listen to my music when we had nice days during lockdown. I decided to buy another one recently to see what two would sound like. Excellent. They are very easy to connect and all you have to do is press the TWS button on each of them and they connect automatically. They have a nice crisp sound and work effortlessly with any blue tooth device. Even if you are considering purchasing just one of these, You can easily upload your music to a USB stick and plug it in. I find another feature that this has is that you can skip or rewind tracks on the speaker itself which makes life easier if you are using a tiny MP3 player like myself. Yes I would recommend this, but beware. Depending on how loud you play it, the battery doesn't last 15 hours. Still I find that they charge up pretty quick and I just move to another speaker until they are recharged.
