The front section of the tool sticks out farther before the splines start, leaving very little contact area. This can make it difficult to get a secure grip on these specific bolts. I have a 2005 VW Passat that I needed to work on. Volkswagen (and other German cars) require Triple Square sockets on many of their fasteners. These worked perfectly and appear to be well made and will last a long time. Very happy with this purchase. Definitely 5 stars!

I purchased these as a set when I started having to work on more and more VW vehicles at my shop. As it’s a tool I didn’t usually have to pull out often I didn’t see the need to get an extremely expensive Snap-On or Matco equivalent for 10x the price. Flash forward to the present day and I now work on Porsche vehicles, and this socket set has never once let me down. I’ve had no issues with them rounding out fasteners or the splines chipping off or anything like that! They work great and continue to perform on a weekly basis. They’re a great price and I couldn’t see myself needing to “upgrade” to another set. I’ve also owned the same Lexivon Hex and Torx set and can say the same for those.They work excellent and at a price you can’t beat. Just get them if you need them!

I have not had a chance to use these yet but they look very well made and a good value. I have some of these on my Touareg and I wanted to be able to remove. The lifetime warranty but for a limited use person like me it is a secondary issue. If you need this type of tool, i highly recommend.
